Oil prices rose in Asian trade today as moderate growth in new jobs in the United States raised hopes about a pick-up in demand in the world's biggest crude consumer. New York's main contract for delivery in July, gained 12 cents to 96.15 dollar a barrel and Brent North Sea crude for July added 10 cents to 104.66 dollar in morning trade.
