Oil Prices Surge on West Asia Supply Concerns, Brent Crude Reaches 83.57, WTI Crude at 78.03 per Barrel

Oil prices rose today after a drone attack on U.S. forces in Jordan added to supply disruption concerns in the West Asia and Houthi militants stepped up attacks in the Red Sea.

In intra-day trade, Brent crude was trading at 83 dollars and 57 cents per barrel, while U.S. West Texas Intermediate crude was trading at 78 dollars and three cents per barrel when reports last came in.
