Oil prices today suffered big losses of more than three percent amid investor worries over demand concern as spread of Omicron coronavirus variant put restrictions in many parts of the globe.

 In intra-day trade, Brent crude was trading around 71 dollars and 30 cents per barrel while WTI crude prices were at 68 dollars and 70 per barrel.
