Oil prices slipped in Asian trade today as investors took profits from recent gains, although upbeat economic data and Middle East tensions provided some support. New York's main contract, light sweet crude for delivery in April was down one cent at 106.70 dollars per barrel and Brent North Sea crude for April delivery shed 25 cents to 125.97 dollars per barrel in morning trade.
