Oil prices rises in Asian trade today

Oil prices rose in Asian trade today as traders bought up cheap crude following a price plunge last week as investors waited for fresh economic data from China. New York's main contract, light sweet crude for delivery in May, added 29 cents to 88.30 dollar a barrel and Brent North Sea crude for June delivery gained 28 cents to 99.93 dollar.
