Oil prices today rose as investors expected OPEC plus producers meeting on output to stick with their planned increase for February based on indications Omicron would have only a mild impact on demand.

Brent crude was trading around 79 dollars and 20 cents per barrel while WTI crude prices were at 76 dollars and 20 per barrel when reports last came in.
