Oil was higher in Asian trade on Thursday. New York's light sweet crude gained 14 cents to 85.30 dollars a barrel and Brent North Sea crude was up by 21 cents at 110.36 dollars a barrel. Analysts said investors are watching out for Friday's speech by Bernanke, which will be scrutinised for signs of whether he will support new stimulus measures to juice the US economy.
