Oil prices today edged higher but the growth remained thin. Crude prices added marginally as forecasts of a slower than expected recovery in global fuel demand due to the coronavirus pandemic weighed on it.

In intra-day trade, Brent crude prices were trading around 40 dollars per barrel while WTI crude prices were around 37 dollars and 80 cents per barrel.
