Oil prices eases in Asian trade

Oil prices eased in Asian trade on Monday as the US dollar recovered against the major currencies. New York's main contract, light sweet crude for Novemberdelivery, fell 12 cents to 78.41 dollars a barrel after closing at 78.53 dollars Friday, the highest level since October 2008. Brent North Sea crude for December delivery shed 14 cents to 76.85 dollars.
