Oil prices were down in Asia today with New York's main futures contract, light sweet crude for delivery in February, down 15 cents to 81.62 dollars a barrel. Brent North Sea crude for February delivery shed 14 cents to 80.45 dollars a barrel. Commonwealth Bank of Australia, in a report, said positive market sentiment from the continued cold weather across the US and Europe was partly offset by a firmer US dollar.
