Oil price rose today in Asian trade on bargain buying following recent losses stemming from a firmer US dollar. New York's light sweet crude climbed 23 cents to 80.76 dollars a barrel. London's Brent North Sea crude was up 21 cents to 79.82 dollars per barrel.
