Oil markets up in Asian trade

Oil markets rose in Asian trade on Tuesday as traders snapped up cheap crude after European and US debt woes pulled prices down. New York's main contract, light sweet crude gained 38 cents to 96.31 dollar per barrel. Brent North Sea crude added 41 cents to 116.46 dollar.
