The Petroleum Minister Murli Deora today said that it is for the oil marketing companies to decide the prices of petrol keeping in view the international crude oil prices. Addressing the Economic Editor's Conference in New Delhi, he said international oil prices have gone up from 75 dollars a barrel to 84 dollars a barrel. Elaborating on increase in the prices of LPG, Kerosene and Petrol earlier, he said it has reduced the burden of subsidy and the resources are now being used for other priority areas.
