The Oil India Limited has reported 152 percent growth in the Profit After Tax for the period ended in 31st of December last year. Talking to newspersons in Guwahati, the CMD of OIL Sushil Chandra Mishra said that the company has reported profit of 2,257 crore rupees in this period as against 894 crore rupees. Mr. Mishra said that production of natural gas in the third quarter of last year has gone up by nearly 18 percent in comparison to previous year. He said that the Oil India Limited has set up the target to produce 4 million metric tons of crude oil by 2023-24. As of now the company is producing 3 million metric tons. The OIL has also taken steps for establishing a 100-kilowatt plant for green hydrocarbons at Jorhat in Assam.
