Oil firms awarded Iraq contract

In Iraq, Britain's Shell and Malaysian firm Petronas have been awarded a joint contract to exploit Iraq's giant Majnoon oil field. This was disclosed by official Iraqi national news agency today. Iraq's oil minister Hussein al-Shahristani said that the price that the consortium offered is little bit less than the price offered by the oil ministry.
