Oil prices eased on Friday after briefly topping 80 US Dollars. New York's main futures contract, light sweet crude for delivery in February, dipped three cents to USD 79.62 per barrel, after earlier hitting a high of USD 80.36. London's Brent North Sea crude for February slipped 35 cents to USD 77.96.
