Oil cos hike ATF prices

Oil companies have hiked the prices of Jet fuel by 3.8 per cent. Indian Oil Corporation said, the revised prices came into effect midnight last night. Following the revision, the price of Aviation Turbine Fuel, or ATF, has gone up by 2,519.83 rupees per kilolitre in Delhi. This is the second increase in rates in as many months. Jet fuel prices were earlier hiked by 2 per cent on the 1st of February this year. Jet fuel constitutes over 40 per cent of an airline's operating costs and the increase in prices will add to burden of the airlines.
