Denying any partisan approach, Varanasi's Additional District Magistrate (City) M P Singh today said the administration will evict all those engaged in campaigning activities but not having voting rights in the constituency irrespective of their party or candidate affiliation.
He said everybody will have to comply with the administration's orders. According to officials Arvind Kejriwal's family, BJP leaders Amit Shah and Arun Jaitley and others involved in campaigning will have to leave the constituency after canvassing ends tomorrow evening as they do not having voting rights in the city.
The ADM said the district administration has made all possible efforts to ensure free and fair elections. Thousands of police and paramilitary personnel have been deployed across the city as part of the security drill.
The high-octane campaign for the May 12 election will come to an end tomorrow at 5 PM. AAP's Kejriwal and BJP's Narendra Modi and Congress' Ajay Rai are prominent candidates for Varanasi seat.
