Congress has rejected the claim of the opposition nominee Mr P A Sangma for the Presidential Election that UPA nominee Mr. Pranab Mukherjee was holding Profit of Office while filing the nomination papers.

Talking to media in New Delhi, the party spokesperson Rashid Alvi said called it a baseless allegation.

He said that as far as he knew Mr. Mukherjee has already resigned from Indian Statistical Institute.
