Odisha will get all support from Centre in reconstruction of cyclone hit areas: Home Secy

Union Home Secretary Anil Goswami today said the Centre will give all support to Odisha for reconstruction works in the cyclone and flood affected areas of the state.

Mr Goswami, who was on a one-day visit to the state to oversee post-cyclone and flood relief and reconstruction works, met Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik and other senior state officials at Bhubaneswar and discussed on the twin calamities that have ravaged half of the state. He also visited worst-cyclone hit Ganjam district and discussed relief and reconstruction work with district administration.

The state government has submitted a memorandum to the Union Home Secretary demanding an assistance of 4242.41 crore rupees to Odisha from the Centre for reconstuction works in the cyclone and flood hit areas.
