In Odisha, the State Industries, Steel and Mines Minister, Raghunath Mohanty, took strong exception to the anti-Posco agitation. Speaking to newsmen at Bhubaneswar, he said the state government will go ahead with the 52,000 crore rupee project, the biggest foreign direct investment in the country, without using force.Meanwhile, the anti-Posco activists backed by left parties observed black day today in Gobindpur near Paradip in Jagatsinghpur district. Agitations also continued in the outskirts of with a large number of people shouting anti-Posco slogans even as project work is going on in Polanga under tight security. Our correspondent reports, that land acquisition in Dhinkia gram panchayat, however has been stopped by the officials due to stiff opposition from local villagers and anti-Posco activists.
