Odisha to experience rain in next 24 hours

Many parts of Odisha will experience rain and thundershower in the next 24 hours. Some parts of northern and southern Odisha are also likely to experience heavy to very heavy rain due to the deep depression formed over Gangetic West Bengal and adjoining Bangladesh, about 250 km from north-east of Balsore off Odisha coast. According to Bhubaneswar Metrological office, strong squally surface wind with a speed of 45 to 55 km per hour is likely to prevail along and off Odisha coast. Fishermen have been advised not to venture into sea as the condition will be very rough. Local cautionary signal number three has been hoisted at all the ports of Odisha including Paradip and Gopalpur. The deep depression is likely to move in north-north-westerly direction initially and then west-north-westwards and weaken gradually.
