Odisha to demand for deployment of two more battalions of central forces

Odisha government will again demand for deployment of two more battalions of central forces at the national meet on developing anti-Naxal strategies to deal with Naxal activities to be held at New Delhi on 8th of this month. <br/><br/>State Chief Secretary Aditya Prasad Padhi who chaired a high level meeting on anti-Naxal strategy at the state secretariat in Bhubaneswar today, said that the State government will place demand before Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh for deployment more central security forces to tackle the Maoist situation. <br/><br/>He also said a demand for improvement of mobile connectivity and road connectivity in Maoist-dominated districts will be placed in the New Delhi meeting. <br/><br/>The next week national meet of chief ministers of eight Naxal-affected states in New Delhi called by Home Minister Rajnath Singh is important in view of the last month Sukma attack that killed 25 police personnel.
