Odisha targets to give covid-19 vaccine shots to about one lakh 92 thousand health care workers during the first phase of the nation-wide vaccination programme, beginning tomorrow. The state has already received 4.08 lakh Covishield and 20 thousand Covaxin doses for the first phase of vaccination of the prioritised beneficiaries. The vaccination drive will be held in 160 session sites across the state, soon after the country-wide launch of the drive by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.<br />'' <br />''Addressing a webinar organised jointly by the Press Information Bureau and the Regional Outreach Bureau, Bhubaneswar a short while ago, Dr. B. K. Panigrahi, Director, Family Welfare, Govt of Odisha disclosed that all the 160 session sites have been duly provisioned with at least three rooms each for vaccination, waiting, and observation. He also informed that each of the sites will  have doctors and AEFI kits to take care of any adverse event, should they occur post-vaccination.<br />'' <br />''<span style="color: #222222;">While the state aims to immunise about 16 thousand health care workers on day one, the rest of the registered health care workers are targeted to be vaccinated against the virus in about 10 days. </span><br />
