In Odisha, one Maoist has been killed in a fierce encounter with District Voluntary Force in the dense forest of Rayagada district.The force was conducting a combing operation last night in the forests in Hanumanthpur area in naxal infested Chandrapur block, when they came under heavy firing from the Maoists.Preliminary investigation showed the deceased was a hardcore cadre Maoist Subash. Police said in Rayagada that the ultra was involved in several crimes. A large number of arms and ammunition were seized from the area. Combing operation has been intensified in the area after the incident.
