In Odisha, a hardcore maoist has been killed in an encounter with security forces near Hanumantapur under Chandrapur police station of Rayagada district today. According to preliminary reports, a 25-member team of security forces fired at a maoist camp during combing operation to which the maoists retaliated.Two security personnel are reported to have been injured during the encounter. Preliminary investigation showed the deceased was a hardcore cadre Maoist – Subash. Police said in Rayagada that the ultra was involved in several crimes.
