The Odisha government has not taken any decision on the additional demands made by the Maoists to free abducted MLA, Jhina Hikaka. Odisha Home Secretary U.N. Behera told media persons at Bhubaneswar on Sunday that Andhra-Odisha border special zonal committee of CPI (maoist), holding the MLA, has been demanding withdrawal of cases against 29 prisoners.However, the state government has initiated action to withdraw cases against 13 of them. Mr. Behera also said that all field-level government officers have been asked to strictly follow standard operation procedure while attending meetings.
