<span style="color: #222222;">Chief Minister of Odisha Naveen Patnaik today launched a slum upgradation programme to make the state slum-free in three years.  The programme, aimed to improve the living conditions of the slum dwellers by providing them with basic necessities like piped water, electricity, paved roads and recreational space, will start immediately in 1000 slums to be extended to about 3,000 slums across the state in 3 years.  <br />''<br />''Launching the programme, Mr Pattnaik expressed the hope that the upgradation initiative will enhance the collective resilience of the slum-dwellers by improving their lives and livelihood.</span><br />
