In Odisha, the death toll in the hooch tragedy has increased to 33.As many as 42 more persons are still struggling for life at the SCB Medical College and Hospital at Cuttack, while many more have been admitted in other private hospitals in Bhubaneswar. People in several villages spread over Mahidharpada and Balianta areas of Cuttack and adjoining Khurda districts died by drinking spurious liquor.The Odisha Government has ordered a judicial inquiry into the incident.However, the opposition Congress has demanded a CBI probe into the incident and resignation of Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik and Excise Minister AU Singh Deo over the issue.
