The two Maoists' nominated mediators – Prof Hargopal and Prof R Someswar Rao are expected to arrive in Bhubaneswar this morning to start the negoiations with Odisha Government for release of Malkangiri District Collector R Vineel Krishna and junior engineer Pabitra Mohan Majhi. The talks are likely to be focussed on the conditions set by the Maoists for the release of kidnapped officials. AIR correspondent reports that the Maoists have indicated that the release of senior Maoist leader Ghanti Prasadam and Srinivasulu Ramulu is part of their demand, besides freeing jailed associate Padma, wife of top Andhra-based Maoist Rama Krishna.
