The Odisha government has submitted an Eight year perspective special plan for the development of Kalahandi-Bolangir-Koraput (KBK) region to centre with an estimated cost of Rs. 4550 crore. In a written reply in the Lok Sabha, minister of state for planning V Narayanasamy said special plan for KBK districts is funded under the Backward Region Grant Funds (BRGF). He said the allocation for BRGF has been increased to Rs. 7300 crore in the annual plan of 2010-11 from Rs. 5800 crore in the last plan outlay.<br/>
