Odisha government has imposed fresh set of covid-19 restrictions across the state to contain the spread of Omicron. In an order, it has put a ban on zero night celebration and New Year welcome functions in places like hotels, clubs, restaurants, parks and convention halls.<br />''<br />''Similarly, the Christmas celebration has been allowed in churches with a maximum of 50 participants with strict observance of covid 19 protocols.<br />''<br />''Marriage functions have been allowed without receptions and ancillary functions. Social gatherings and community feasting have been disallowed.<br />''<br />''<span style="color: #222222;">The restrictions will be effective today and from 31 December this year till the 2nd January next year. Odisha has so far reported four cases of Omicron infection.</span><br />
