Odisha govt changes school timings due to summer

Government of Odisha has changed the school timings keeping summer in view. Accordingly, while class IX and class XI students will attend their physical classes from 7 a.m. to 9 a.m., those of class X and XII will attend the classes from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. The change in timing has come into force from today.<br />''<br />''<span style="color: #222222;">In addition to the staggered school hours for different classes, the department of school education has also asked the educational institutions to be ready with sufficient drinking water and ORS to beat the heat.  During the last few days, Odisha has witnessed a surge in mercury level to the point of breaching the 40 degree Celsius mark at some places. This apart, govt has also asked the schools to calibrate their classes in accordance with the covid-19 preventive protocols.</span><br />
