In Odisha, Excise Minister AU Singh Deo resigned today taking moral responsibility of the hooch tragedy that claimed 33 lives so far. Singh Deo was under tremendous pressure from the oppostion parties like Congress and BJP to quit. More than 40 people who drunk spurious liquor are still fighting for life in different hospitals of Cuttack and Bhubaneswar.Meanwhile, opposition Congress has alleged that Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has been protecting Singh Deo and liquor mafias.
