Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Sunday reviewed the situation arising out of hostage crisis at a high level meeting in Bhubaneshwar. The meeting also discussed the demands made by the two Maoist organizations for the release of BJD MLA Jhina Hikaka and one Italian national.
Reacting to the audio message sent by the abductor of the Italian national, Mr Patnaik said there seems to be some confusion but it will be resolved soon.
Earlier, State Organizing Committee of CPI Maoists had sought more clarification from the government to know how many of their demands have been accepted.
The Maoists of Andhra Odisha Division has also finalised the list prisoners they want to be released in exchange of the BJD MLA.
