Odisha CM: Not discussed coming presidential polls with TN CM

Odisha Chief Minister and BJD president Naveen Patnaik says, he had not discussed the coming presidential polls with Tamil Nadu Chief Minister and AIADMK chief J Jayalalitha. Patnaik, who returned from Chennai last night after meeting Jayalalitha, told media persons at Bhubaneswar today that no decision has yet been taken on the presidential polls. His meeting with Jayalalithaa triggered speculation of a possible realignment between non-UPA and non-NDA parties with speculation rife about the emergence of a third alternative before the 2014 Lok Sabha polls. The two leaders met over lunch at Jayalalithaa’s Poes Garden residence and reportedly discussed presidential polls and the National Counter-Terrorism Centre issue. Patnaik also met former West Bengal Governor and grand son of Mahatma Gandhi, Gopalkrishna Gandhi, at Chennai. This was the second meeting between Patnaik and Gopalkrishna in the last 15 days.
