Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today met Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Parliament House and discussed demonitisation and Mahanadi issues. Mr Patnaik apprised the Prime Minister on the plight of farmers and tribals in the state and urged to take remedial steps. He also sought Mr Modi's intervention to sort out the Mahanadi issue amicably with Chhattisgarh. <br/><br/>In Odisha, the District central cooperative banks in the state are not accepting old 500 and 1000 rupees notes, which is causing a great hardship to people. However, the Chief Minister had welcomed the Prime Minister's decision on demonetisation terming it as a great step.
