The Odisha Chief Minister, Naveen Patnaik has again appealed Maoists to release BJD MLA Jhina Hikaka safely. Mr. Patnaik visited Maoists hit Koratpur district today to review the situation in the wake of his abduction. He also visited Hikaka's residence in Laxmipur and met the family. The wife of the abducted MLA has also appealed Maoists to release her husband without any harm.
Jhina Hikaka is in the captivity of Maoists since 24th of last month. The faction Andhra Odisha Border Spcial Zonal Committee of CPI (Maoist) is demanding immediate release of 30 prisnoers including dreaded Maoist Ghasi, in exchange of Hikaka.
