A Special Court in Odisha capital Bhubaneswar today allowed CBI to take BJD's Choudwar-Cuttack MLA Pravat Ranjan Biswal on five days remand, who was arrested in connection with 500 crore rupees Seashore Chit Fund Scam this morning. The investigating agency had arrested Biswal in connection with the purchase of a piece of land from the Seashore chit fund company. <br/><br/>Biswal, while coming out of the CBI court this evening cried foul and alleged injustice against him terming CBI's action as a political conspiracy. <br/><br/>Meanwhile, BJD claimed that the central investigating agency is being misused by BJP and termed Biswal's arrest an act of political vendetta. Notably, Ramchandra Hansda, a BJD MP from Baripada is currently in jail for his alleged involvement in the multi-crore chit fund fraud in the State.
