The 21-day-long Chandan Yatra of Lord Jagannath and his siblings in the holy city of Puri in Odisha commences this evening on the occasion of Akshaya Tritiya. It is to be noted that after a gap of two years this time the famous Chandan Jatra will be held amid the presence of devotees. For the last two years, though the festival was carried out, many restrictions had been put in place due to the Corona pandemic.
