In Odisha, the COVID-19 vaccination coverage has been extended to about 59 lakh 51 thousand people so far. However, due to non-availability of adequate vaccines, the state could vaccinate only about twenty two thousand beneficiaries at 92 session sites yesterday.  AIR correspondent reports that even as the viral upsurge continues to add fresh infections to the state's active COVID tally, pushing it further beyond  77 thousand,  the state from yesterday is observing a 14 days lockdown to stamp the surge down.
