In Odisha, the Maoists abductors of BJD MLA, Jhinna Hikaka have set 5th April as the fresh deadline for the government to fulfil their demands. Rejecting the government's invitation for talks, the Maoists said that the government must release the members of Chasi Mulai Adivasi Sangh lodged in different jails to initiate the process of release of the MLA. A PTI report says that the Maoists also released a letter written by the MLA, addressed to the Chief Minister, stating that he was safe.Another faction of Maoists operating under the banner of ‘Odisha Maoists Organization’ in two different parts of state, has asked the government to expedite the process of fulfilling their demands in order to ensure secure release of the second Italian. The talks for the release of the second Italian which were closed for today, will again resume tomorrow.Meanwhile, a blanket ban has been enforced on the movements of foreign tourists in Koraput and Rayagada district.
