In Odisha, the 4th phase of three-tier panchayat poll ended today peacefully barring violence as booth rigging, loot of ballot papers and booth capturing by miscreants in some places. Polling was held in 164 Zilla Parishad zones and 1151 gram panchayat of 67 blocks in 27 districts of Odisha. The polls remained peaceful during the earlier three phases, the percentage was around 70 percent despite some minor cases of violence. The last phase of the three-tier panchayat polls will be held on Sunday.
