India defeated Sri Lanka by 7 wickets in the tri-nation One Day International cricket match at Hobart.Earlier, put to bat, Sri Lanka made 320 for 4 in the stipulated 50 overs. Tillakaratne Dilshan was the highest scorer for Sri Lanka with 160 not out while Kumar Sangakkara made 105 runs. For India Zaheer Khan, Praveen Kumar and Ravindra Jadeja took one wicket each. India needed to win this match to keep its chances alive in the series. Australia is at the top of the table with 19 points from seven matches. Sri Lanka with 15 points from six matches comes next and India with 10 points from stands at the bottom of the tally.
