ODI tri series: Australia 205 for 8 in 45 overs

Chasing a target of 239 runs set by Sri Lanka, Australia were 205 for 8 in 45 overs in a crucial match of tri-nation ODI Cricket series at Melbourne when reports last came in. Sri Lanka were all out for 238 in 50 overs. The match is not only important for India but also Sri Lanka because both the teams have equal points in the tournament. The hosts are already in the finals. The Sri Lankans now need either a tie or win in today's match to reach the finals failing which India will sneak into the finals by virtue of a better head to head point in the series over Sri Lanka.
