Australia beat India by four-wickets in the Tri-Series ODI match in Melbourne. AIR correspondent reports, electing to bat, India posted 267 for 8 in the stipulated 50 overs. The innings was built around opener Rohit Sharma's 138-run knock which was his sixth ODI hundred.But his rollicking century went in vain, as the hosts survived a few anxious moments before pulling off a win.After opener Aaron Finch's confident 96-run knock, Australia were placed comfortably at 216 for two in a chase of 268; but India staged a late comeback by taking three quick wickets, to raise hopes of a turn around.But Brad Haddin and James Faulkner batted sensibly to deny India a dramatic finish.The hosts ended at 269 for six in exactly 49 overs. Australian paceman Mitchell Starc was declared Man of the Match for his fine tally of 6 wickets for 43 runs in 10 overs. For Australia, it is their second win in as many matches. India will play their second encounter on Tuesday and again square off against Australia on January 26.
