Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh has assured full support to the Delhi government in implementing the odd-even plan for plying of private vehicles on alternate days in Delhi. Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal met Mr Singh in New Delhi yesterday to discuss the proposal. <br/><br/>During the meeting, Mr Singh expressed concern over the growing levels of pollution not only in Delhi but in the entire NCR region. He said, there is need to improve public transportation that would be capable of daily taking the load of half the number of persons currently traveling in cars.<br/><br/>Talking to the reporters after the meeting, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal said, single women drivers and patients may be kept out of the scheme to ensure their safety.
