President Barack Obama has summoned the US Intelligence Chiefs to a meeting at White House next week to evolve a new strategy to beef up security at airports. The move comes after criticism of his administration over an intelligence breakdown after an abortive attempt by a Nigerian man to blast a Detroit-bound airliner on the 25th of last month.

Earlier, President Obama had ordered an immediate review of what he called human and systemic failures that allowed the accused bomber to get on the trans-Atlantic flight from Amsterdam.
