US President Barack Obama, along with his national security team reviewed the progress being made in the fight against extremism in Pakistan.The White House said, the meeting concluded with a discussion of the progress made at the recent US-Pakistan Strategic Dialogue in working with Pakistan to root out violent extremists and support regional stability.The White House added that President Obama received an update on the progress in disrupting, dismantling, and the defeating al-Qaeda in the region.US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and Defense Secretary Robert Gates were among those who attended the high level meeting.
