US President Barack Obama has sought immediate beginning of an orderly transition in Egypt. Obama said in his speech at the White House after him spoke for 30 minutes with Mubarak, who has been ruling Egypt for three decades. He said, the process of orderly transition must include a broad spectrum of Egyptian voices in opposition parties. He asserted that it should lead to elections that are free and fair result in a government that's not only grounded in democratic principles, but is also responsive to the aspirations of the Egyptian people. Referring to his conversation with Mubarak, the second one in less than a week, Obama said the Egyptian leader understood the status quo is not sustainable and that a change must take place.Obama also praised Egyptian army for not using force against agitators and allowing peaceful protests.
